In honor of my family. I wanted to make a piece that would reflect the story and life my grandfather lived. I designed a pamphlet that details the history his life in Mexico as a young man to immigrating to the United States.
Inside the pamphlet, I tell the story of my grandfather. I included his favorite music, a map of where he lived throughout his life, and a family tree of all his children and grandchildren.
I also wanted to create a video to accompany the pamphlet, illustrating the song he loved, “Estoy Pensando en Ti,” which means “I am thinking of you.” It reflects the feelings we all experienced when he passed—thinking of the life and legacy he left behind.
